State government practitioners have the opportunity to play a critical role in the realization of more racially equitable government structures. The work of racial equity in state government is an invitation to all state government practitioners, whether they sit in health and human services spaces, infrastructure, energy, personnel, governors’ offices, equity offices, etc. 

GARE/Race Forward is partnering with State of Equity, to offer a community of practice to support practitioners doing the work of racial equity within their state agencies. Communities of practice are a powerful way to create shared meaning, generate and generalize best practices, deepen expertise, and build supportive community that can energize and rejuvenate practitioners.
